Information Chemistry

چکیده
An information processing system is described which is inspired by the processing of molecules within cells under the control of enzymes. The system is shown to be capable of being configured to carry out a simple information processing task, namely sorting a set of numbers into an ordered list. Results of the time evolution of the system carrying out this task are presented. A framework is described which allows the information processing system to be evolved to perform a specific application task. Benefits of the system are outlined including applicability to difficult pattern matching problems and improved evolvability versus traditional systems and programming languages.
